Placement: The group are ཕྲད་གཞན་དབང་ཅན་ dependent connectors. When one of these connectors is required, the appropriate one must be chosen from the group. The appropriate one depends on the ending letter of the preceding word. If the preceding word ends in letter ག་, this connector གམ་ must be used. The appropriate use of each member of the group is shown under the listing for that member.
Meaning: This group of connectors is used for two purposes in the language. 1) They are used as འབྱེད་སྡུད་ཀྱི་སྒྲ་ "terms of separation / inclusion". 2) They are used as ཐེ་ཚོམ་ལ་འཇུག་པའི་སྒྲ་ terms that are used to pose a question or to express doubt; i.e., they are used either to produce a question or to produce the meaning "or".
