Transliteration: 'gums pa
<verb> v.t. བཀུམས་པ་/ འགུམས་པ་/ དགུམ་པ་/ ཁུམས་/. Intransitive form is འགུམ་པ་ q.v. Acc. [ULS] and [LGK] this term was revised during the སྐད་གསར་བཅད་ language revisions and meant, when written in new signs, གསོད་པ་ "to kill" q.v. Although it means and is used to mean "to kill", it also has the connotation and is used to mean "to slay / murder / do away with". E.g., [TC] དགྲ་བོ་འགུམས་པ། "to slay the enemy". E.g., from a prophecy describing the degenerate times: བློ་གཏད་གྲོགས་པོས་ཟས་ཀྱིས་ཀུམ་པ་འབྱུང་༔ "Even close friends will kill each other with poison."
