The terms དཀར་ཕྱོགས་ "light phase" and ནག་ཕྱོགས་ "dark phase" are used to differentiate them; དཀར་ཕྱོགས་རྒྱལ་བ་དང་པོ་ "first victory of the light phase" refers to the 3rd day and ནག་ཕྱོགས་རྒྱལ་བ་གཉིས་པ་ "first victory of the dark phase" refers to the 18th day.
