<phrase> "The supports of the six thrones". There are various types of throne mentioned in the Buddhist tradition and each type is typified by being held up by a specific creature. This formulation gives the six creatures that hold up six different types of throne. According to [DGT] they are: 1) སེངྒེ་ "lion"; 2) གླང་ཆེན་ "elephant"; 3) རྟ་མཆོག་ "supreme horse"; 4) རྨ་བྱ་ "peacock"; 5) ཤང་ཤང་ "shang shang (bird)"; 6) གྱད་ཀྱི་མི་ "strongman / champion of men".
