The nine are: 1) སེངྒེ་ lion; 2) སྟག་ tiger; 3) གཟིག་ leopard; 4) གུང་ gung; 5) སྤྱང་ཀི་ wolf; 6) སྤྲེའུ་ monkey; 7) ཝ་མོ་, fox; 8) དྲེད་མོང་ dremong; 9) དོམ་ bear.
