ད་ལྟར་གྱི་སངས་རྒྱས་
Transliteration: da ltar gyi sangs rgyas
<phrase> "Buddhas of the present", and then there are also those of the past and those of the future.
སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་བཀའ་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas kyi bka'
<phrase> "The buddha-word". The instructions of the buddha to his disciples which are intended as commands or precepts for practice. E.g., སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་བཀའ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་བཀའ་ཉིད་དུ་སྒྲུབ་པ་ "To take the buddha's words and put them into effect as the words of the buddha".
ས་བཅུ་སངས་རྒྱས་
Transliteration: sa bcu sangs rgyas
<phrase> "Tenth Level Buddha". In fact, this refers to a bodhisatva of the tenth level or bhūmi, not to a truly complete buddha.
ནང་པ་སངས་རྒྱས་པ་
Transliteration: nang pa sangs rgyas pa
<phrase> "An insider, a Buddhist". Meaning a person who is ནང་པ་ an insider because of following the buddha. E.g., ནང་པ་སངས་རྒྱས་པའི་གྲལ་དུ་ཆུད། "you will have entered the ranks of the insider Buddhists".
སངས་རྒྱས་དངོས་ཀྱི་འདུ་ཤེས་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas dngos kyi 'du shes
<phrase> "The perception that (he, the guru, etc.) is actually buddha".
སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་མཛད་པ་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas kyi mdzad pa
<phrase> "Deeds of a / the buddha". E.g., སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་མཛད་པ་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པ་རྒྱུན་མི་འཆད་པ་ "the spontaneously produced, uninterrupted deeds of a buddha".
སངས་རྒྱས་བསྟན་འཛིན་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas bstan 'dzin
<name> "Sangyay Tenzin". The name of the seventh ཁམས་སྤྲུལ་ Khamtrul Rinpoche of the Kham Drukpa Kagyu.
ཨོ་རྒྱན་སངས་རྒྱས་གཉིས་པ་
Transliteration: ao rgyan sangs rgyas gnyis pa
<name> "The Second Buddha of Orgyan". A name for Padmasambhava, who was from Uddiyana and is considered to be a second buddha.
སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྟོབས་བཅུ་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas kyi stobs bcu
<phrase> "The ten strengths of a buddha"; the ten strengths of a buddha as opposed to a tenth level bodhisatva. See སྟོབས་བཅུ་ "ten strengths".
སངས་རྒྱས་འབྲིང་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas 'bring
<noun> "Middling buddha". An epithet of རང་སངས་རྒྱས་ pratyekabuddhas. They are so-called because they are not the equal of a ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་ truly fully enlightened buddha of the Great Vehicle yet are higher than ཉན་ཐོས་ཀྱི་སངས་རྒྱས་ śhrāvaka buddhas of the (same) Lesser Vehicle.
སངས་རྒྱས་ཡེ་ཤེས་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas ye shes
<noun> "Sangyay Yeshe". A moderately common Tibetan person's name. 1) Referring to གནུབས་སངས་རྒྱས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ q.v. 2) Other people in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition or in Tibet.
སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་རིགས་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas kyi rigs
<phrase> 1) "Buddha family" as the central family of སངས་རྒྱས་རིགས་ལྔ་ the five buddha families q.v. 2) In texts concerning tathāgatagarbha, it refers to the lineage of buddha that all beings have in their mind-stream and which is the tathāgatagarbha itself.
སངས་རྒྱས་སྲས་བཅས་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas sras bcas
<noun> "Buddha(s) together with (his or their) sons". This phrase is used in reference to the idea of a buddha who always sits at the centre of his surrounding retinue of bodhisatvas.

སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྤྱོད་པ་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas kyi spyod pa
<phrase> "The conduct of a buddha". Translation of the Sanskrit "buddhacarita". Meaning the way that a / the buddha conducts / conducted himself. On context it can also mean "the acts / deeds of a buddha" though note the phrase སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་མཛད་པ་ which specifically means "deeds of a buddha".
རང་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ལམ་ལྔ་
Transliteration: rang sangs rgyas kyi lam lnga
<phrase> "The five paths of the Pratyekabuddhas". These are the second set of ལམ་ལྔ་ five paths of the ལམ་བཅོ་ལྔ་ fifteen paths described in the prajñāpāramitā literature. They are the five paths corresponding to the རང་སངས་རྒྱས་ pratyekabuddha journey to arhathood.
སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་བསྟན་པ་
Transliteration: sangs rgyas kyi bstan pa
<phrase> "Buddha's teaching", "buddha's doctrine, "teaching of the buddha", "doctrine of the buddha". Translation of the Sanskrit "buddhaśhāsana". Meaning the teaching of the buddha as a whole, his particular doctrine. Also translated as "dispensation of the buddha".
