I. The teachings of the Buddha were gathered together by his early disciples and placed into སྡེ་སྣོད་གསུམ་ three baskets and twelve branches. <noun> Acc. [LGK] this term was revised during the སྐད་གསར་བཅད་ language revisions and meant, when written in new signs, ཡིད་གཉིས་ "doubt", "uncertainty", "being of two minds about". The term has the sense of "being up and down about something, unable to decide".

ཤན་སྦྱོར་བ་
Transliteration: shan sbyor ba
<verb> v.t. see སྦྱོར་བ་ for tense forms. To show the meaning of something written or spoken in two or more languages. E.g., རྒྱ་བོད་སྐད་གཉིས་ཤན་སྦྱར། "to provide the meaning in both Indian and Tibetan languages".

ཡས་མ་
Transliteration: yas ma
<phrase> Meaning the top end, the early end of something. E.g., [TC] ཀ་ཁ་སྡེ་པ་དང་པོའི་ཡི་གེ་ཡས་མ་གཉིས་སོ། "The letters ka and kha are the letters at the top end of the first letter section".

ཐོན་ཁ་
Transliteration: thon kha
<noun> "The outcome", "the end (of what you are doing)". E.g., ཐོན་ཁར་མི་རྟོག་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད། །སྐད་ཅིག་གཉིས་ཙམ་བསྒོམ་པར་བྱ། "at the end, meditate for a few moments on non-conceived emptiness".

རྒ་ཤི་
Transliteration: rga shi
<phrase> Abbrev. of རྒ་བ་ and ཤི་བ་. Translation of the Sanskrit "jarāmāraṇa". 1) "Aging and death" or "old-age and death" in general. 2) Specifically, "aging and death" or "old-age and death" is one of the principal features of the process of sentient beings' cycling through deluded existence.
