ཤཱ་རི་པུཏྲ་
Transliteration: sh'a ri putra
<noun> "Shari's Son", "Śhāripūtra". Translit. of the Sanskrit [MVP] "śhāriputra". The name of one of the མཆོག་ཟུང་གཉིས་ two foremost arhat-disciples of Buddha who is included also in the ten closest ཉན་ཐོས་ śhrāvaka disciples of the Buddha. He was one of the seven principal compilers of the Abhidharma piṭaka; see མངོན་པ་སྡེ་བདུན་ "the seven sections of Abhidharma".
ཤཱཀྱ་འོད་
Transliteration: sh'akya 'od
<noun> "Śhākya Light", "Śhākyaprabha". In Sanskrit "śhākyaprabha". The name of a great Indian master who was one of the Two Excellent Ones: see འཛམ་གླིང་མཛེས་པའི་རྒྱན་དྲུག་མཆོག་གཉིས་ "Six Ornaments and Two Excellent Ones Beautifying Jambuling". He was renowned for his superior knowledge of the འདུལ་བ་ Vinaya and wrote several texts which were regarded as definitive handbooks on the Vinaya.

<noun> "The Compendium of The Great Vehicle". The name of a text by Asaṅga. Translation of the Sanskrit "Mahāyāna saṃgraha". One of the two སྡོམ་རྣམ་གཉིས་ "compendia" written by Asaṅga; the other is the Abhidharma-samuccaya. མོའུ་འགལ་གྱི་བུ་
Transliteration: mo'u 'gal gyi bu
<noun> "Son of Maudgalyā". Translation of the Sanskrit "maudgalyāputra". The name of one of the two foremost śhrāvaka disciples of the Buddha; see མཆོག་ཟུང་གཉིས་ the excellent pair. Also known as མཽདྒལྱ་ཡཱ་ན་ "Maudgalyāyana". Maudgalyāyana was one of the seven principal compilers of the Abhidharma piṭaka; see མངོན་པ་སྡེ་བདུན་ "the seven sections of Abhidharma".
དུར་ཁྲོད་པ་
Transliteration: dur khrod pa
<phrase> "Amidst charnel grounds". Translation of the Sanskrit [NDS] "śhamāśhānikaḥ". The name of one of སྦྱངས་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་བཅུ་གཉིས་ the twelve ascetic virtues. Acc. [DGT] amidst channel grounds means to a practice of thinking "it doesn't matter where I die" and having thought so, to make one's dwelling place in charnel grounds alone, living in places where human corpses have been dumped.
ལེགས་པར་རྣམ་པར་ཕྱེ་པའི་ཆོས་འཁོར་
Transliteration: legs par rnam par phye pa'i chos 'khor
<noun> "The dharma wheel of precise distinctions". The buddha turned the wheel of dharma three times; see ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ་རིམ་པ་གསུམ་ for an explanation. In the ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ་ཐ་མ་ final turning of the wheel of dharma, the Buddha promulgated the dharma for the third time and taught matters that made a fine and final distinction between the བདེན་པ་གཉིས་ two truths.
ཇི་ལྟ་བ་མཁྱེན་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་
