ཡོངས་སུ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པ་

I. <verb> v.i. past of ཡོངས་སུ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདའ་བ་ q.v.
II. <noun> "Parinirvāṇa". Translation of the Sanskrit "parinirvāṇa". The final nirvāṇa of a buddha. It is མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པ་ a nirvāṇa that is an ཡོངས་སུ་ all-encompassing one because it is totally beyond both སྲིད་ཞི་གཉིས་ཀྱི་མཐའ་ extremes of cyclic existence of sentient beings and the nirvāṇa which is the quiescent peace of the arhats.…

In the process of the twelve links of interdependent origination, which consists of causes and effects, ཉེར་ལེན་ "taking up" is one of the causes within the process. Transliteration: phyag dang zhabs 'jam zhing gzhon sha chags pa
"Hands and feet are soft and smooth". Translation of the Sanskrit [NDS] "mṛdutarūṇahastapādatā". One of the སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོའི་མཚན་བཟང་པོ་སུམ་ཅུ་སོ་གཉིས་ thirty-two marks of a great being. An altern. rendering is ཕྱག་དང་ཞབས་ཀྱི་མཐིལ་འཇམ་ཞིང་གཞོན་ཤ་ཆགས་པ་ "the palms of his hands and the soles of his feet are soft and smooth".

འདོམས་ཀྱི་སྦ་བ་སྦུབས་སུ་ནུབ་པ་
Transliteration: 'doms kyi sba ba sbubs su nub pa
<phrase> "Private organ is hidden in a sheath". Translation of the Sanskrit [NDS] "koṣhagatvastiguhya". One of the སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོའི་མཚན་བཟང་པོ་སུམ་ཅུ་སོ་གཉིས་ thirty-two marks of a great being. The Tibetan lit. means "retracted out of view" which is the meaning of the Sanskrit guhya "secret".

ཕྱག་ཤིང་བལ་ལྟར་ཤིན་ཏུ་འཇམ་པའི་དཔེ་བྱད་
Transliteration: phyag shing bal ltar shin tu 'jam pa'i dpe byad
"The minor mark of hands soft like cotton wool". Translation of the Sanskrit [NDS] "tūlasadṛśha sukusārapāṇi anuvyañjani". One of the སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོའི་དཔེ་བྱད་བཟང་པོ་བརྒྱད་ཅུ་ eighty excellent marks of a great being q.v. It is one of ཕྱག་གི་དཔེ་བྱད་གཉིས་ "the two minor marks of the hands" q.v.

<noun> [Non-Hon] 1) Meaning a person's particular way of expressing themselves, their particular form of expression, the way that a person says it, as in "his way of talking". [Hon] is གསུང་སྒྲོས་. <noun> "Eyelashes like a heifer's". Translation of the Sanskrit [NDS] "gopakṣhmanotra". One of the སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོའི་མཚན་བཟང་པོ་སུམ་ཅུ་སོ་གཉིས་ thirty-two marks of a great being. This means that his feet, like those of a tortoise, are extremely well set. This excellent mark appears because of his having kept སྡོམ་པ་ vowed restraints correctly on his path to buddhahood.

བདུན་མཐོ་བ་
