རིགས་ངན་
Transliteration: rigs ngan
<phrase> Lit. "bad caste" but meaning "low caste" pejoratively.
རིགས་ཆད་
Transliteration: rigs chad
<phrase> "Cut off family". A term used to refer to those who are not able to progress on some path, e.g., one of the paths of enlightenment. The Buddha explained a number of cut-off families.
རྐང་བཞི་
Transliteration: rkang bzhi
<noun> [Mngon] 1) "Quadruped". The general name for four-footed beings, animals. 2) An epithet for བཞི་མདོ་ which is one of བྱེད་པ་བཅུ་གཅིག་ eleven calculators of astrology.
ཆེ་བ་བཞི་
Transliteration: che ba bzhi

I.When Atīśha originally produced the Stages of the Path teachings in Tibet, he indicated that this formulation of the teachings had four features that made it an outstanding teaching.

རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་
Transliteration: rigs kyi bu
<phrase> "Son of the family".
This is often mis-translated with "fortunate son" or "noble son" or "son of noble family" or "son of fortunate family"; while it is true that most usages of རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་ imply that the family is good or fine etc., the particular term does not add the extra words.
