བཤུར་བ་
Transliteration: bshur ba
<verb> v.t. བཤུར་བ་/ བཤུར་བ་/ བཤུར་བ་/ ཤུར་/. "To singe the nap of fabric that has been woven with very long strands of hair with flames in order to make it smooth". This was done both for thick cloths and also carpets; it is still done today in Tibetan carpet factories. E.g., [TC] སྣམ་བུ་མེ་ལ་སྤུ་བཤུར་བཏང་བ། "the thick fabric had its nap smoothed by singing it in the fire".
ཧ་གོ་བ་
Transliteration: ha go ba
<verb> v.i. derived from གོ་བ་ q.v. "To understand" in the simple sense of either understanding something mentally or not. Note that it does not mean "understand" in the sense of "hear and understand" but purely to understand in the mind. The prefixing of ཧ་ in Tibetan is a way of indicating a mental state. <verb> v.i. གནོངས་བ་/ གནོང་བ་/ གནོང་བ་//. "To feel remorse, shame at one's mistakes made or offences committed". E.g., [TC] ངོ་གནོང་བ་ "to be ashamed"; ཞེ་གནོང་བ་ "to be truly ashamed"; ཉེས་སྐྱོན་བྱུང་བས་གནོངས་པ། "felt remorse for the bad and wrongs done".

Transliteration: sdong ba
<verb> v.t. བསྡོངས་པ་/ སྡོང་བ་/ བསྡོང་བ་/ སྡོངས་/. "To make an alliance" together. Hence also "to ally with", "to join up with", and "to confederate". E.g., [TC] གྲོགས་དང་བསྡོངས་ཏེ་ཕྱོགས་སུ་འགྲོ། "joined up with a friend and went off".
གཞེར་བ་

རྐྱལ་བ་
Transliteration: rkyal ba

ལྷའི་རྣ་བ་
Transliteration: lha'i rna ba
<noun> "Ear of the gods" or "divine ear". Translation of the Sanskrit [NDS] "devyaśhrotam". Usually written in the honorific form ལྷའི་སྙན་ "ear of the god(s)" q.v.
ཐོད་རྒལ་བ་

ཕྱིར་འབྲང་བ་
Transliteration: phyir 'brang ba
<verb> v.t., see འབྲང་བ་ for tense forms. "To pursue", "to chase after", "to follow after". The ཕྱིར་ at the beginning of the phrase emphasizing the sense of "after". E.g., [GSB] རྣམ་རྟོག་ཕྱིར་འབྲང་མ་ཤོར་བ། "not to get lost in chasing after discursive thoughts".
ཁུར་འཁུར་བ་པོ་
Transliteration: khur 'khur ba po
<phrase> The person who does the work of ཁུར་པོ་འཁུར་བ་ "carrying a load". This can refer to any kind of carrier of a load, either in i) a general sense of someone carrying a load or ii) the specific sense of someone whose job is to carry a load, such as a "porter".
སྒོམ་གཏོར་བ་
Transliteration: sgom gtor ba
