ལྷག་མ་བཏང་བ་
Transliteration: lhag ma btang ba
<noun> "Giving the leftovers". Secret mantra terminology regarding ཚོགས་འཁོར་ feast gathering. The name of the section of the feast in which the leftovers are given to their recipients.
ཐ་མལ་སྣང་བ་
Transliteration: tha mal snang ba
<noun> "Ordinary appearances" meaning the appearances of the world as perceived by ཐ་མལ་པ་ ordinary beings who have not progressed on the spiritual path. Ordinary beings ཐ་མལ་སྣང་ཞེན་ cling to their perceptions as real.
རྣམ་རྟོག་རྩ་བ་
Transliteration: rnam rtog rtsa ba
<noun> "Root of discursive thought", meaning the root affliction which is described either as མ་རིག་པ་ "ignorance" or གཏི་མུག་ "delusion".
ལྗགས་འདྲིལ་བ་
Transliteration: ljags 'dril ba
<adj>phrase> "Tongue curled up". The phrase used to describe one of the facial features of the expression of wrath; in it the tongue is out of the opened mouth a bit and the tip of the tongue is curled up. This is a feature of wrathful deities, for instance.
ཕྱོགས་མ་གོ་བ་
Transliteration: phyogs ma go ba
<phrase> Used in logic to indicate that the type of reasoning one side is using is completely different from what the other side is using, and that the other side simply does not understand the direction being taken by the first side.
ཞི་བ་ལྷ་རྒྱུད་
Transliteration: zhi ba lha rgyud
<noun> "The Tantra of the Peaceful Deities". Acc. [POD], the name of a tantra which is one of the twelve rare tantras of ཨ་ནུ་ཡོ་ག་ Anuyoga.
ཀྱི་ཧུད་ཟེར་བ་
Transliteration: kyi hud zer ba
1) Sometimes given as altern. spelling of ཀྱི་ཧུད་འདོན་པ་ q.v. 2) Otherwise with the meaning of exclaiming or crying out ཀྱི་ཧུད་ "Oh no", etc. q.v.
གླང་ཆེན་མཆེ་བ་
Transliteration: glang chen mche ba
<noun> "An elephant's tusk". 1) Elephant tusk(s) in general. 2) One of ནོར་བུ་ཆ་བདུན་ "the seven precious items" q.v.
གཞན་སྟོང་སྨྲ་བ་
Transliteration: gzhan stong smra ba
<phrase> "A proponent / advocate / propounder of other-emptiness". This term means someone who states the view, advocates, propounds, in a text, etc., the view called other-emptiness. See གཞན་སྟོང་.
གཟི་བརྗིད་ཆེ་བ་
Transliteration: gzi brjid che ba
1) <phrase> Anything with a greater level of གཟི་བརྗིད་ q.v. 2) <noun> [Mngon] an epithet of the god གཞོན་ནུ་གདོང་དྲུག་ q.v.
ཐ་མལ་པའི་སྣང་བ་
Transliteration: tha mal pa'i snang ba
<phrase> "Common / ordinary appearance(s)". This refers to the appearances of a ཐ་མལ་པ་ "an ordinary person". Such a person has no spiritual attainment and the appearances that occur on the face of their consciousnesses are the common appearances of delusion.
མི་སྐྱེ་བ་ཤེས་པ་
Transliteration: mi skye ba shes pa
<phrase> "Knowledge / cognition of non-arising". Translation of the Sanskrit [NDS] "anutpādajñānaṃ". One of the ཤེས་པ་བཅུ་ "ten cognitions / knowledges".
གཡུང་དྲུང་འཁྱིལ་བ་
Transliteration: g-yung drung 'khyil ba
<phrase> "The rotating svastika" meaning svastikas that are drawn with trailing legs that indicate they are moving in either the clockwise or anticlockwise direction.
གོ་མཚམས་མེད་པར་གང་བ་
Transliteration: go mtshams med par gang ba
<verb> Lit. "Filled without gap" but meaning "filled without room for more" or "filled with none left out"; see གོ་མཚམས་མེད་པ་ for more.
ཟླ་བ་སྒྲོན་མའི་མདོ་
Transliteration: zla ba sgron ma'i mdo

འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་བདེ་བ་
Transliteration: 'jig rten gyi bde ba
<phrase> "Worldly happiness". A general term for the various kinds of ease, comfort, and pleasant feelings that are purely worldly in nature.
བཀའ་ཡི་ཆད་མདོ་འབུལ་བ་
Transliteration: bka' yi chad mdo 'bul ba
<noun> "The uttering of the command covenant". Secret mantra liturgy terminology of the old translation school.
བདེ་བ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་
Transliteration: bde ba chen po'i ye shes
<phrase> "Great bliss wisdom". Although this is sometimes translated as wisdom of great bliss, that is not the meaning. The term means that of all the different aspects there are of wisdom, this is the great bliss aspect of wisdom.
ཆོས་ཉིད་དག་པའི་སྣང་བ་
Transliteration: chos nyid dag pa'i snang ba
<phrase> "The appearances of purity of dharmatā". This phrase means there is dharmatā and, of its two possible manifestations of purity and impurity, the appearances of the pure side.
