Transliteration: rjes grub kyi ming
<phrase> "A name produced according to (reason or the rules of etymology)". In Tibetan grammar, མིང་ names and the verbs derived from them are divided into མིང་གཉིས་ two types according to how they are derived.

འགོག་པ་ལ་རྗེས་སུ་ཤེས་པའི་བཟོད་པ་
Transliteration: 'gog pa la rjes su shes pa'i bzod pa
<phrase> "The acceptance of the cognition of the dharma with respect to the cessation". The twelfth of མཐོང་ལམ་གྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྐད་ཅིག་བཅུ་དྲུག་ "The sixteen moments of wisdom on the path of seeing" q.v. This is the fourth moment of the realization of the Noble Truth of the cessation. It accepts the realization of འགོག་པ་ལ་རྗེས་སུ་ཤེས་པ་ the third moment.

རྗེས་དཔག་གསུམ་
Transliteration: rjes dpag gsum
<enum> "The three types of inference". There are three main kinds of valid inference. [JKE] gives as: 1) དངོས་སྟོབས་རྗེས་དཔག་ "inference of the thing itself"; 2) གྲགས་པའི་རྗེས་དཔག་ "inference due to renown" (also called གཞན་ལ་གྲགས་པའི་རྗེས་དཔག་ inference based on what is well-known to others); 3) ཡིད་ཆེས་རྗེས་དཔག་ "inference due to trustworthiness".

Transliteration: rjes su bstan pa'i cho 'phrul
<noun> "Miraculous feats of showing up". Translation of the Sanskrit [NDS] "anuśhāsanīprātiharya". One of the ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་རྣམ་པ་གསུམ་ "three types of miraculous feats (of a buddha)" q.v. This is a buddha's ability to perform miracles with his mind. སྡུག་བསྔལ་ལ་རྗེས་སུ་ཤེས་པའི་བཟོད་པ་
Transliteration: sdug bsngal la rjes su shes pa'i bzod pa
<phrase> "The acceptance of the cognition of the dharma with respect to unsatisfactoriness". One of མཐོང་ལམ་གྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྐད་ཅིག་བཅུ་དྲུག་ "The sixteen moments of wisdom on the path of seeing" q.v. This is the fourth moment of the realization of the Noble Truth of unsatisfactoriness. It accepts the realization of སྡུག་བསྔལ་ལ་རྗེས་སུ་ཤེས་པ་ the third moment.

<phrase> "The subsequent cognition of the dharma with respect to the cessation". The eleventh of མཐོང་ལམ་གྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྐད་ཅིག་བཅུ་དྲུག་ "The sixteen moments of wisdom on the path of seeing". Transliteration: sngon gnas rjes dran mkhyen pa'i stobs
<phrase> "The strength of knowing which is the recollection of former situations". One of the དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་སྟོབས་བཅུ་ ten strengths of a tathāgata. This particular strength of a buddha that is the wisdom that knows, without any hindrance, the past abodes of himself and others, and the type of sentient being at the time, and the causes thereof.

སྔོན་གྱི་གནས་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པ་
Transliteration: sngon gyi gnas rjes su dran pa
<phrase>"The recollection of past abodes". Translation of the Sanskrit "purvanivāsānusmṛti". In this term གནས་ "abodes" means "past lives, the bodies and their dwellings places". 1) One of the མངོན་པར་ཤེས་པ་ལྔ་ "the five extra-perceptions" and one of དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་མངོན་པར་ཤེས་པ་དྲུག་ "the six extra-perceptions of a tathāgata". <phrase> "Continuance", "ensuing (item whatever)" Something that is a continuance of something just preceding it. In some contexts the fact that it is not only a continuance but a thereby a trace as well is paramount in which case "ensuing trace". <noun> "Inferential valid cognizer". Translation of the Sanskrit "anumaṇapramāṇa". One of ཚད་མ་གཉིས་ the two main kinds of valid cognizer. It is one of བློ་རིག་བདུན་ "the seven branches of (the subject of studying) the knowers of rational mind". See also དཔྱད་པ་གསུམ་ "the three analysers" of which inference is one.
