Incorrect spelling of ཐམ་ག་ q.v. (According to the rules of letter gender, the མིང་མཐའ་ name-ending after letter མ་ has to be a female ending which is ག་ not ཀ་).

Transliteration: thang ga
<noun> "Thangka". Tibetan painting usually done on canvas or sized cloth and usually of a religious motif. The painting usually has a cloth border of brocade sewed around it as a matter of respect. The whole thing can be rolled up for storage or conveyance. See also ནག་ཐང་ "black thangka".
